The Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe – PRACE is an international non-profit association based in Brussels. PRACE research infrastructure provides excellent support to scientists and researchers from academia and industry. Their computing systems are taken care of four members of PRACE association (BSC from Spain, CINECA from Italy, GCS from Germany, and GENCI from France). The program is funded by the European Operational Programme FP7 / 2007-2013 contract number RI-312763.

Within the project, the Faculty of Information Studies cooperates with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. Our HPC centre will host European students who will develop innovative projects within the PRACE Summer School Summer of HPC (on our supercomputer Rudolf). We will cooperate in the preparation of events for students and online courses, we also offer overall support in the use of HPC infrastructure for research within the project.
